My Crafty Disaster

I decided recently (coincidentally after loving Anna's craft room makeover...check it out if you haven't yet!) that it was time to overhaul my crafty/sewing space. It was a complete disaster. It can be really hard to feel inspired when you can't even find your scissors and everything is caving in on you...

This is my incredibly messy "before"
so you can be duly impressed when it's done.

And a couple of goodies that will help the transformation along...

A vintage china buffet and hutch off craigslist (for only $45!)

And a $10 slipper chair from Salvation Army

I'll post more as I reinvent the space. Yeah!

  1. OOOH! I can't wait to see what you do with all that new stuff. Have fun!

  2. Wow. Your "disaster" has inspired me...I can't find the floor (or the table, for that matter...) in my craft room. Can't wait to see what you do with your breakfront...

  3. way cool kari, can't wait to see how it comes together. you're way more ambitious than me!

  4. Thanks for your kind comment. I can't wait to see the transformation and your new pieces in use.

  5. I can't wait to see what you come up with! LOVE the hutch you found...Craig's List rocks! My new sewing space has been a work in progress now for far longer than I care to admit. :)

  6. I need a kick up the rear in my workspace too!!!! It is chaos. If I'm not on my sewing machine, it's cutting up bits of paper. The only thing I do up here that doesn't make a mess is frantic typing on the keyboard. It does however stop me from organizing my workspace. Anyway.....I love your stuff. Only just found you, but looking forward to following what you are up to in the future, and picking up tips along the way. I was given the Sunshine Award and would like to pass it on to you. If you would like to accept it, just have a look at to see what you need to do.
    Happy organizing x

  7. It's going to be great! I look forward to seeing what you end up doing! My craft/guest/game room is next up on my list of rooms to tackle.

I love hearing from you!
