We have big news in our house...I'm pregnant with our third child!
I couldn't think of any clever way to drop that on you so I just came right out with it.
Here's our little peanut at 12 weeks. Blurry and blobby. Ahhhh....
I'm about 13 weeks right now and feeling great. I'm more tired than usual and hungrier, of course. And when I'm bun-in-the-oven-hungry, I eat.
I. Eat. All. The. Time.
For what it's worth, I love pregnant eating because there's no guilt at all and everyone's always encouraging you to fill yourself. Ah, sated bliss.
One of the only downsides to pregnancy for me is that my hands are practically useless because my pesky tendonitis makes itself well known. The only reason I'm boring you with my trivial little hand issues is because I needed to explain why there's been such a lack of sewing around here. (to be hampered in sewing when babies offer sooo many opportunities is just too cruel...) I have a couple projects I've been working on and I promise to put them up as soon as I can.
But, in the meantime, any bets on pink or blue? And what are some of your favorite baby sewing projects? If you could include a link to them, I'd love to check them out to put on my list!
Hope you've been doing well and getting into the swing of things with the start of the school year and Halloween speeding towards us.

oh WOW Kari!!! Congrats to you and your family, that is so exciting. I kinda thought you were up to something. :) As for baby stuff, I love amy b's little stitches for little ones, a lot of great projects in there.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!!! I chose not to find out our baby's sex this last time around, and as a result I wasn't able to get much sewing done... definitely a downside, so I hear you on the not-being-able-to -sew bit! I love baby crafts, and here's one of the first that I did for my daughter.

I also have done a lot of alterations to make boy stuff look like girl stuff, here's one.

Congrats Kari!!! I am so happy for you and your fam :) My bets on pink!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful and exciting news! Congratulations!! Eat up and rest all you can, would be my best advice.
ReplyDeleteI didn't learn about swaddle blankets until my last baby. My favorite to make as a gift is Hannah's Pod Swaddler. I love that it uses knits and woven fabric, and there are no velcro or snaps.
