A gift for baby girl

A friend of mine is expecting a baby girl and I've been dying to use some of my Heather Bailey Freshcut fabrics.
The top has been sewn and sitting in limbo for at least a year and half.
Now I finally found the perfect use for it.

It's still in the quilting stage, but here's a sneak peek!

{The back of the quilt and the binding}

{And a closeup of the front}

I'm sort of in love with it since it has so much pink and I LOVE pink.
It's a good thing I didn't make it any bigger or else I would be tempted to keep it.
But, alas, it would barely be a lap quilt. Better used as a crib quilt or play mat.

If I get enough time to myself in the evenings, I'll have a finished quilt to show you later this week!

  1. You had me at fresh cut! The piecing is lovely. I am excited to see how it quilts up.
